Player names and scores you post to the online leaderboard are public. Nothing else is collected. No ads, no analytics, no cookies, no tracking.
Online leaderboard
Tesseractor has an optional online top-10 leaderboard. If you choose a player name and finish a run while online, the game sends these to our leaderboard server:
- the player name you create (3-16 characters),
- your score, the wave reached, the ship you used, the game version, and the date (day only) of the run.
Your device also creates a random code, stored only on your device, that proves the name belongs to you. The server keeps only a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of it.
We use this only to show the leaderboard and stop others from posting under your name. Player names and scores are public on the leaderboard.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your real name, email, location, contacts, device identifiers or advertising ID. We do not store IP addresses. Your connection's IP address is briefly used, in scrambled form and in memory only, to block spam, and is never written to storage or logged by us. There are no ads, analytics, cookies or tracking, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone.
The leaderboard runs on Cloudflare Workers and D1 (Cloudflare, Inc. acts as our hosting provider). All data is sent encrypted over HTTPS.
Stored on your device
Your settings, ship choice, local top 10, pilot name and the name code are saved in local storage on your own device.
Keeping and deleting your data
Scores are kept while the leaderboard runs. Run-start records are deleted within 24 hours. You can delete your name and all its scores at any time from Options > "Delete my leaderboard data" (press it, then confirm), or by emailing tesseractor.support@gmail.com with your player name. We will remove it within 30 days. If you clear the app's or site's data, you lose the code that links you to your name; email us to remove it.
Inappropriate names may be removed. The game is not directed at children under 13.
